Rouse’s Drug Store

Rouse’s Drug store was located right next door to the building that housed H. N. Frachtmann’s Jewelry shop, which was the subject of a separate (and juicy) post that you can check out here.
The owner of this business was Samuel Rouse, who as far as I can dig, seems to have no immediate affiliation with the family who owns Rouses Markets.

Today, the Harris County Tax Office occupies this lower half of the block.

Note the “drugs” label
