The Stewart Building
The Stewart Building was constructed in 1906 on the former property of Max Urwitz. His home was torn down in the same year to make way for the building.
The Stewart Building housed the Stewart Abstract and Title Company on its ground floor along with many other business during its heyday.
Sadly, the lovely Stewart Building met its fate at the hands of Houston’s Demolition Hammer in 1973. The property has remained a parking lot ever since.
